MeFi is a platform for independent creators who upload content they own or control. We do not host commercial recordings we are not authorized to distribute, and we remove infringing content promptly when notified.
How MeFi handles rights
MeFi uses audio fingerprinting to identify uploads that match known commercial recordings. When a commercial match is detected, that upload is blocked from earning and, where appropriate, removed — MeFi does not monetize content it is not licensed to host.
Original songs, covers, remixes, and samples created by our own community are not affected and remain available.
Report infringing content (DMCA)
If you believe your copyrighted work appears on MeFi without authorization, send a takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent. MeFi's agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (Reg. No. DMCA-1078036).
Your notice must include: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the infringing material and where it appears on MeFi; your contact information; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
